M1 MacBook Pro 2021を使い始めて２年以上経過しているから、しばらく新機種に買い替えを検討していたけどM3 MacBook Proの評判がいまいちでM1と大きな差がないようなレビューをちらほら見かけるから買い替えなしに決定。

M1 MacBook Pro 2021のメモリ最大構成64GBから買い換えるなら128GBが妥当で、M3 128GBにすると70万円超になることもあって明らかに評判のいい新機種が出るまでM1使い続ける。

2年使って削除したアプリや設定のゴミがたくさん溜まってそうだし、クリーンインストールすると気分的にもかなりスッキリするから思い切って全削除してクリーンインストールする。

新機種の購入を見送ったから代わりにストレージだけ1TBアップさせた。SDカードスロットに挿しっぱなしで使えるSSD 1TB
これの64GBをだいぶ前に買ってずっと内蔵ドライブのように使い続けてて使い勝手いいから買い足し。
クリーンインストール後のMacBookはデータ整理ちゃんとやって、ダウンロードフォルダの過去データとか全部これに保存してMacBook動作がもっさりする要因作らないようにする。


 

・事前準備

・外付けHDDにTime Machineバックアップ
余ってる旧機種のMacBookに移行アシスタントを使ってTime Machineバックアップから復元

これでとりあえず致命的なことは起きないはず。

・各種アプリのバックアップ
Remember The Milk – メニュー、Preferences、バックアップ
Octoparse – 選択してエクスポート
Better Touch Tool – DropBox同期確認
VIA – 設定保存
Rev-O-Matic – 設定、エクスポート

Chromeはブラウザにログインしていれば自動移行できるから何も事前準備なし。

クリーンインストール

バックアップ漏れがありそうでなかなか消去する踏ん切りがつかないけど、上記書き出してみて大丈夫そうと決心して全消去。
消去アシスタントを実行

消去アシスタントでは、Mac上で以下の処理が行われます:

Appleのサービス（iCloudなど）からサインアウトします。

「探す」や「アクティベーションロック」をオフにして、消去するMacと自分との関連付けを解除します。

コンテンツと設定、およびインストールしたすべてのアプリを消去します。

すべてのボリューム（現在のボリュームだけでなく）を消去します。Boot Campアシスタントを使用してMac上にWindowsをインストールした場合は、BOOTCAMPボリュームも消去されます。

すべてのユーザアカウントとそれらのデータを消去します（自分のユーザアカウントだけでなく）。

macOSを消去して再インストールする
Macを消去してから、macOS復旧を使ってmacOSを再インストールします。

消去アシスタント実行後に自動再起動、Wi-Fi接続求める画面表示されるけど接続せずにシャットダウンを選択。
電源長押しして起動オプション表示 – Optionを選択してWi-Fi接続、Macがアクティベートされました表示がされて再起動。

再度、電源長押しして起動オプション表示 – Optionを選択、ディスクユーティリティを起動。Machintosh HDの下に同じような名前のボリュームが２つあったから下のボリュームを選択して消去。
再起動、再度アクテベート、再度電源長押しして起動オプション表示 – Optionを選択、ディスクユーティリティを起動。

Machintosh HDの下のボリューム消えたからスッキリ。
一応もう一回Machintosh HDを選択して消去。First Aid実行。
Mac OS BaseSystemの方も選択してFirst Aid実行。
きれいさっぱり、何もないMacの完成。

ディスクユーティリティを終了。Mac OS再インストールを選択。
新品Macを使い始める時のようでワクワク感が良い。

OS再インストール後のセットアップ

ゴミが全消去されたまっさら状態のMacからセットアップ開始。とても清々しい。

・各種アプリインストールとそれぞれバックアップから設定復元

クリーンインストール後は手動で設定復元しないといけないところが何かとあるから、消去前の設定を参照できるTime Machineから復元したサブMacがあると復元作業やりやすい。

事前に取得漏れしていた設定

・たまにしか使わないリモートデスクトップの設定

・Better Touch Toolのウィンドウスナップのショートカットキー設定、ウィンドウの移動とサイズ変更、Dropbox同期では同期されない設定だった。
BTT – 設定 – ウィンドウスナップと移動 – 修飾キーの移動とサイズ変更 – ショートカットキーに利用するキーにチェックを入れる

・OneTabのエクスポート

手動で設定する必要のあるMacの環境設定
・同一アプリケーションでウィンドウを切り替えるショートカット
キーボード – キーボードショートカット – キーボード – 次のウィンドウを操作対象にするの右側をダブルクリックして設定したいキーを入力

・スクリーンキャプチャのファイル名を日時にする
ターミナルから：defaults write com.apple.screencapture name “”

・ユーザフォルダ直下のライブラリフォルダを表示する
chflags nohidden ~/Library/

・スクリーンショット保存先の変更 – command +shift + 5、スクリーンショットアプリのオプションをクリックして保存先を変更

・Finder最上位階層 Macintosh HDでCommand +J – 常にリスト表示にチェックをいれる

一通りセットアップ完了。想定より時間かかったけど、新しいMacのようで気分一新。
毎日数分、Apple Storeアプリで新しいMacの構成作成して買おうか検討する時間がなくなるから快適になった。
